Monthly Meeting - "It’s not about what it is, it’s about what it can become!"

Tuesday 11 April

Anne extended a warm welcome to all, it was good to be inside by the roaring fire on such a wet miserable night.

Anne went over the business which included The Spring Federation meeting, the Federation Quiz (Good luck to our team) and the Warnock Trophy.

The meeting was then handed over to Lou and Joanna of Underneath The Arches. They started their business partnership 13 years ago, their shop has been at several locations starting at Kit & Caboodle in Newburgh before moving to Loves Auction Rooms, Perth. Before very long they decided to get their own shop, calling it Underneath The Arches in Perth. Lockdown came and it made them re-evaluate what they wanted from life. They downsized and moved back to Newburgh & Underneath The Arches @Red Fox Studio evolved. It was very interesting to hear of their journey and they gave us lots of tips and hints on how to give a much loved item a new lease of life. They recommended Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and the most popular colour at the moment is 'Country Grey'

Lou and Joanna brought an interesting and eclectic lot of goods from their shop for us to browse over before tea.

It was quite a run from Newburgh to Ruskie.............they stopped at the best place around for something to eat on the way to the meeting - The Lion and Unicorn Hotel, Thornhill

Ruskie Rural would like to wish Lou and Joanna continued success in their business

Competitions: Textile Table Centre 1st Christine Bauer 2nd Catriona Burnett

A fantastic supper was provided by Mary Woods, Helen Little & Liz Black ............DELICIOUS
