'Have Laptop Will Travel'

Anne Artis extended a warm welcome to members and friends. There was an excellent turnout considering the weather, the burn was in full spate as it roared past the hall.

The speaker for the evening was author/writer, Joanne Robinson. Joanne is a past member of Ruskie and we were delighted to welcome her back. 'Have Laptop Will Travel' was the title of her presentation. She explained that as she travels about, her laptop goes with her and will often take it out and start typing. She started writing about 8 years ago and now has many books to her name (several pen names). She took us on a journey as she explained how she got into writing later in life, she was not encouraged at school but felt it was always something she wanted to do. Joanne writes in lots of different styles: Anthologies, Historical, Series, Contemporary, Erotica..............definitely warm in the hall........and not just the coal fire! 😳 Ruskie wish Joanne lots of success in the future.
