May 9 "Small but Perfectly Formed"

President, Anne Artis extended a warm welcome to all. The hall was very busy for the last meeting of the year. Heather Millar handed out the balance sheet and went over the figures. Anne then gave a short account of the past years activities - we have been very busy! Anne then entertained the ladies by filling two pots and giving lots of tips and hints along the way. Competitions: Cake containing a vegetable ingredient: Winner of the 85th Birthday Cup: Christine Hamilton 2nd Ann Davidson. 3 suggestions for the syllabus: 1st Janice Milne 2nd Eleanor Muir 3rd Pamela Deans. Members provided a 'Pot Luck Supper'....a feast! Lin and Myra from Thornhill Rural conducted the A.G.M. business .Anne Artis was voted on as President and the new committee was announced. Office Bearers will be decided at the first committee meeting. It's been a very successful year at Ruskie - new friendships formed while learning new skills and enjoying the monthly meetings with a varied syllabus...........something for everyone.
