Happy New Year 🍾🍸

Anne Artis gave a very warm welcome to members and friends. The evening started with a glass of bubbles - cheers!...

We decided to start with supper and leave the business to later. We had a choice of Cullen Skink or Scotch Broth. Thank you to Andrew Burnett for the tatties. We then had trifle and as an extra, Cranachan provided by Sheena Gibson. We finshed off with biscuits and cheese. What a feast!

Ruskie's archives were on display and they brought back many happy memories.
The entertainment was provided by Eleanor, Anne and Alison. As Ruskie is buzzing at the moment with their cookery book, Eleanor read several recipes from a VERY old cookery book....didn't sound very appetising! Eleanor is passionate about the Scots language. She read The Gruffalo which was written in broad Scots. Anne then told a very funny story of women of a certain age who tended to forget things.. ....ring any bells?  Alison then played her guitar and sang....we enjoyed singing along.

A very good night in Ruskie Hall and a great start to the year!
