Christmas Night Out - 'Joy Multiplies When It Is Shared with Friends'

Christmas Night Out - 'Joy Multiplies When It Is Shared with Friends'

Tuesday 10 December

At the end of a particularly wild wintry day, it was a joy to come together with good friends and celebrate the season in a lovely venue with great food and a special seasonal visitor …!

Our crowd from Ruskie Rural filled a good part of the Riverhouse in Stirling. After ordering from the wide choice on the menu there was time to chat and catch up while we enjoyed our meal before the entertainment started for the evening - a poem from Lesley Gentles, appreciating the benefits of elastic waistbands (especially welcome after the huge portions!), a not-sung-song from Anne Artis (reminding us of our age!) and a game of “Heads and Tails” led by Allison McLeod (to make sure we all had fun .. with a prize for the winner - Isobel McGuire!)

Santa appeared by magic (we think Rudolph and the sleigh were grounded by the weather!) and distributed a present to each guest.

A collection of gifts was also made for the Salvation Army and these will be passed on in good time for them to be delivered in the local area.

Thank you to the Riverhouse for their great food and service, and a Merry Christmas to Members, Family and Friends!
