Janice Oman warmly welcomed everyone to the April meeting. Janice then went over the business. Diaries and calenders are now available to order, please contact Liz Black if interested. The Rural are marshalling at the Quadrathlon, this is a great fundraiser for the Rural, and any help is appreciated, again see Liz if interested. The S. C.& W. P. Federation Spring Meeting is in the Victoria Hall, Dunblane on the 23rd of April at 2pm, pay at the door £5.

Once the business was concluded Janice introduced the speaker for the evening, Penny Ralston, a florist from Lonicera in Bridge of Allan. Penny went on to give the most wonderful demonstration, giving us lots of ideas and tips on how to make the best of our flowers. Penny did three stunning arrangements, one Easter themed, one in a vase and one in a box, all vibrant with colour and fragrance. Penny can be found on Facebook and her Web page is www.lonicera-florest.co.uk well worth a look!

Janice thanked Penny for her beautiful arrangements, we all then enjoyed tea and a biscuit. The competition was judged by Penny and her daughter and the results were:

The Mrs Beaton Memorial Rose Bowl was won by Vivian Leckie with her Spring Flower arrangement in a jug, followed by Sheena Gibson and third Linda Gibson.

Its was first prize for Liz Black with her Spring inspired photo followed by Linda Gibson.

Janice closed the meeting and thanked everyone for coming.

We look forward to seeing you all at our May meeting when our new committee with be elected.
