Ruskie Rural on the move!
Ruskie Rural (or the Rural Ruskies as we were known!) had a super weekend helping to steward at the Glencoe Marathon. On Saturday Seona Michael, Pamela Deans and Liz Black helped with the registration of the runners on a wet and wild afternoon. On Sunday morning Allison McLeod, Janice Oman, Christine, Pamela, Helen Little, Liz and Seona started the day with breakfast before heading to the hub at the foot of Ben Nevis. The half marathon started at the Ice Factor, Kinlochleven - Anne Artis and Eva were on hand to help. There was also a 10k run from the hub where we cheered them off - they ran in the very best of Scottish weather, four seasons in one day! We were handing out medals, “detagging” and generally being helpful and cheery. Our admiration knows no bounds for all of the runners … they are all superstars! Well done to all who ran in challenging conditions and many thanks to all who gave up their time this weekend not only for Ruskie but also for Cystic Fibrosis the charity that will benefit from this event. www.wildfoxevents.com
